Curved Boundary Treatment in the Lattice Boltzmann Method

Abstract: Three curved boundary treatments in the lattice Boltzmann method are studied. Numerical accuracy and stability are analyzed and compared. In simulating a two-dimensional Poiseuille flow and a driven cavity flow on an equilateral triangle, numerical accuracy and stability of the schemes are discussed.
