SPH Simulation of One-dimensional Shock Tube Problems

Abstract: Smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH) is a free-Lagrangian computational method.Simulating shock tube problems is a common measure to test SPH methods and SPH codes.The fundamentals of SPH are presented and the implementation of SPH for 1-D shock tube problem simulation is discussed.Some numerical results and explanations are provided.
