MODIFIED METHOD FOR CALCULATING THE SELFTERM IN THE SOLUTION OF TIME DOMAIN INTEGRAL EQUATIONS

Abstract: A modified method is presented to calculate the vector potential for the two-dimensional transient scattering.In the conventional method,the vector potential is expressed in terms of three dimensional Green function,in which the time delay between the source and field points in the same patch is always neglected for the selfterm.This time delay is introduced.Numerical experiments show that this modified method can provide stable solutions to the EFIE for the transient scattering from the open structures.
