NUMERICAL METHOD FOR THE KINETIC BALLOONING MODE EIGENEQUATION WITH THREE COMPONENTS

Abstract: A numerical method is described for solving the kinetic bollooning mode eigenequation with three components. The effect of high velocity particles on ballooning mode instability is investigated. The obtained results are in good agreement with experiments.
