CHINESE JOURNAL OF COMPUTATIONAL PHYSICS    2004, 21 (4): 299-304.
Abstract231)      PDF (357KB)(1207)
Close-coupling calculations for the interaction between low-energy electron and atomic oxygen are carried out by using R-matrix method.Total photodetachment cross sections of negative atomic oxygen ion together with main contribution of the individual ionization channels to the partial cross sections are illustrated at the photon energy ranging from the threshold to 7 eV.Comparison is made between the present results and the former experimental and theoretical results.Elastic cross sections of low-energy electron scattering from the atomic oxygen are also given to compare with other experimental and theoretical results.

Deep Insight into Meshless Method and Application of Base-enriched EFG in EM Field Computation
YIN Hua-jie, WU Jian-hua
CHINESE JOURNAL OF COMPUTATIONAL PHYSICS    2004, 21 (1): 68-76.
Abstract289)      PDF (429KB)(1046)
Algorithm and programming by using base-enriched EFG method to solve 2D electromagnetic problems are addressed.Differential from other literatures, the EFG discrete form is obtained strictly from the integration of the weighted residual of the partial differential equation over the support domain of each node in a very straightforward way here. A deep insight into the kernel technique of EFG,the moving least square(MLS) method, is also presented from a data fit viewpoint. Computation is made for examples by using both the EFG and the FEM methods for comparison and demonstration purposes.
