THE VISCOUS EFFECT IN THE VORTEX METHOD
Xu Da-Peng
CHINESE JOURNAL OF COMPUTATIONAL PHYSICS    1985, 2 (2): 239-243.
Abstract175)      PDF (309KB)(882)
In the vortex method, the viscous effect can be incorporated by either random walk of the vortex or vortex aging. In this paper particular attention is paid to the latter, and the latter is applied to Blasius flat plate problem.Comparasion with Blasius's solution is made.

ALTERNATING DIRECTION PARTIAL IMPLICIT AND COMPLETE IMPLICIT METHODS FOR SOLVING STREAMFUNCTION OF NAVIER-STOKES EQUATIONS
XU DA-PENG
CHINESE JOURNAL OF COMPUTATIONAL PHYSICS    1984, 1 (1): 76-83.
Abstract255)      PDF (436KB)(923)
Alternating direction partial implicit and alternating direction complete implicit methods for solving Navier-Stokes equations formulated by stream-function are presented. The two-dimensional cavity flow is calculated as a test problem and the results are discu ssed and compared.
