The flow past a finite flat plate is simulated numerically by vortex method in this paper. The velocity field is calculated around the flat plate with length 1 which started impulsively with a constant velocity.A Laplace eguation appeared in vortex method is solved by conformal transformation.The singular points in the transformation are treated specially,finally, we obtain a periodic numerical solution which agree quite well with the experimental results.
