Calculation of Ground-state Energy of Two-electron Atom by Elastic Coordinate Variational Method

Abstract: An elastic coordinate variational method is given for calculating ground-state energy and wave function of two-electron atom. The program in terms of Matlab language has leen achieved. It provides numerical results of ground state energy of helium atom and helium-like ions.
