Boundary Element Analysis of Thin-walled Structures in Elasticity Problems with Exact Geometrical Representation

Abstract: An exact geometrical representation,arc element,is introduced for thin bodies with circular boundary.A general nonlinear transformation available for arc elements is constructed.With exact geometrical representation,numerical accuracy of nearly singular integrals is greatly improved,which makes possible to deal with ultra-thin structures.
